Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th, 1996) was born in Miami Florida. She is half English one-half Spanish. Her parents include Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father is Argentine with Scottish-English heritage. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's previous marriage. They lived at Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria part in London. Taylor Joy says that moving to England was extremely stressful. She was not willing to study English and hoped she could relocate back to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she had to attend following her departure from Northlands. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and appeared in plays. At the age of 16 she left school and pursued a career acting full-time. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to be an actor and her dreams came true after she was offered an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
