Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28 in 1967) is an American actor and a singer. Her career began when she was a teenager and is best famous for her character of Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders as well as her role as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), an accountant for payroll, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a automobile salesman. There are three siblings and brothers. As a teenager she was a nightclub performer by sneaking from the house. After attending the Wooster school at 13 years old and began to study the art of drama.
